Tactical Datalink Systems Engineer



Tactical Datalinks Systems Engineer – Defence Communications.



Our clients provide communication and aviation electronic solutions to the defence and commercial avionics sectors.



The Tactical Datalinks Systems Engineer will provide Tactical datalinks expertise in support of defence-related Datalink and communication systems activities including requirements analysis, systems design, systems build, systems integration and test and acceptance.



The Tactical Datalink Engineer will have the following responsibilities will include:



• Elicitation of user requirements

• Preparation of requirements specifications for Tactical Datalink systems and sub-systems

• Provide support to informal and formal verification test activities

• Provide support to systems integration and commission trials at customer installations



An Engineer is required with a strong tactical datalinks background to work on either:



• Specifying, designing and developing systems using tactical datalinks (particularly Link 16) OR

• Involved in the management of the integration and test of those systems in land, air or sea platforms.



Candidates would ideally be degree qualified (or have good relevant experience) with experience in the design, development and fielding of tactical datalinks – particularly Link 16 and have had experience in a systems architectural or systems engineering role and be familiar with the whole systems engineering lifecycle.



Candidates MUST be UK nationals (born in the UK) for security purposes.
